Description
HEPATOCARE (Milk Thistle) contains
silymarin, a mixture of flavonoid components
(silybin, silidianin, and silichristine) that
exert significant antioxidant and liver-protecting
effects. Silymarin is at least ten times more
potent in antioxidant activity than vitamin
E and also increases the liver’s own
antioxidant, glutathione, by over 35 percent |

Contraindications
Pregnant/breast-feeding women
As the effect of HEPATOCARE (Milk Thistle)
preparations during pregnancy and lactation
have not been sufficiently evaluated, it should
not be used during these times. Unless directed
to do so by a physician

Side
Effects
Milk Thistle extract may increase
the output of bile and as a result produce
loose stools. If this side effect occurs,
it is often recommended to use fiber compounds
to bind the bile components, thus preventing
irritation and loose stools
|

Drug
Interactions
Hepatocare
(Milk thistle) may reduce the toxicity to
the liver caused by many drugs, including
thyroid hormone, acetaminophen, phynetoin
and Alcohol
|
