What are the drug interactions?
Theoretically, CARDIOCARE® (Garlic) preparations may potentiate the effects of the blood-thinning drug warfarin as well as enhance the antiplatelet effects of drugs such as aspirin and ticlopidine.
CARDIOCARE® (Garlic) may increase the effectiveness of drugs that lower blood sugar levels in the treatment of noninsulin-dependet diabetes (type 2 diabetes) such as glyburide. Proper monitoring of blood sugar levels before taking a garlic product is recommended.
