To End Depression & Dependence

Depression, One of the Widely Prevalent Problem.
Hectic lifestyle has resulted in mild to moderate depression becoming one of the most frequently encountered health concern. There is a need for a treatment, which is devoid of side effects so common with standard antidepressant drugs.

The Role of Senticare® (St. John’s Wort).
Senticare® (St. John’s Wort) have been shown to produce significant antidepressant effects in numerous double-blind studies involving over two thousand patients with mild to moderate depression. The quality of this research, particularly the studies since 1989, has been judged as acceptable by even the strictest criteria. Senticare® (St. John’s Wort) is the most widely prescribed medicine worldwide in mild to moderate depression.

St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) Compared to Placebo.
In thirteen studies with a total of 828 patients, the response rate was 55.1% across the St. John’s Wort (Senticare®), hypericum groups compared with 22.3% across the placebo groups.

St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) Compared to Fluoxetine.
The treatment with St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) and fluoxetine was compared in patients with mild to moderate depression. Although St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) is found to be superior in improving the responder rate, the main difference between the two treatments is safety. St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) was superior to fluoxetine in overall incidence of side effects, number of patients with side effects, and the type of side effect reported.

St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) Compared to Tricyclic Antidepressant Drugs.
Five randomized, double-blind, multicenter trials with 1,191 participants, found equal effectiveness of St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) to tricyclic antidepressant drugs (amitriptyline, imipramine, malprotiline) with greater tolerability and St. John’s Wort (Senticare®) was safer for heart than tricyclic antidepressants.
